Only the installable packages show up in my game, (I had to individually click each one and get it to install, too), but the normal packages do not. Is there any way to convert these to installable file types? Or is there another solution?? This is what I mean about the different file types- Posted Image

I'm having trouble as well. I followed the instructions from the link posted and I still get a message saying "Windows can't open file... What do you want to do? Use web service... or select program?" How do I do this:

Put the package file(s) in the following directory:
For Windows Vista / Windows 7 Users:
Users\(Your User Account)\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\

I'm not too handy on this.

As it says in those directions, all you need to do is place the package file in the Users\(Your User Account)\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads folder. That is it. Do not try to click on the file to open it, as it will not be able to be opened. Package files are not to be opened. Only Sims2pack files can be clicked on to "open" them as they are in a special format.
