planter bowls?

maybe this is a dumb question, but i've been trying for forever to try to get my sims to plant in planter bowls and I can't seem to get them to do it. any tips would be greatly appreciated! :D

What are you trying, exactly? when you click on the seed in your sim's inventory, and move the cursor to decide where to 'plant' it, it should turn green when you're over the planter box... if it doesn't, could it be that your sim's gardening skill isn't high enough for that type of seed?

i thought that might be it but my sim's skill is at a 9, or does it have to be mastered? i've tried seeds as well as perfect apples and tomatoes

As long as your sim has the option to "Plant" a seed, fruit or vegetable (it's not grayed out when you click on the item) then you should be able to plant one in a planter bowl.

Your sims can't plant any tree seeds or fruit though. I tried that and got a message telling me that trees are too big for the planters.
