Im trying to create a very nice looking lounge chair, but the original picture only has a front view of the chair and no back view. How do I get around this problem? (original picture attached)

As that picture isn't at a perfect 45 degree, isometric angle, that image can't really be used at all. There is far too much perspective.
What most people did for creating custom furniture for TS1 was to model it out and texture it in a 3D program. You can then render it out at all of the angles needed to save as the sprites for the different sides.
Unfortunately, as we're talking about a game that is 15 years old, I can't seem to find any tutorials or guides in regards to TS1 object creation I'm not sure if the necessary documentation even still exists - although perhaps there is the off-chance that someone around here remembers specifically how it was done.

Actually there are quite a few Sims1 sites that are still up and running.
Here is a link to a great Sims1 object creation tutorial -- http://bwsost.woobsha.com/

can i make a request for this chair please
You can, but don't be surprised if it goes unanswered. It appears we haven't had any new TS1 content in nearly 3 years. Perhaps Frisbud knows of somewhere that is more active in regards to TS1?

it's generally o.k. if it's purely sims community related. My friend Ginnie Schoepf posts sims community updates daily: http://sidewalksims....s-Updates-Forum
