TSR Workshop Creation Causes Launcher to Crash

Hello everyone. :)

After spending hours on searching the internet in vain for a solution and posting my issue in the official Sims Forum (yet without success) I decided to post my problem here. I read the 'Frequent Questions' and the 'Before Reporting Workshop Errors' posts, but couldn't find an answer to my problem.

My plan was to create a Wall Mural, and I followed this tutorial to do so:
However, when I put the sims3pack in my Downloads folder, the launcher crashes everytime I scroll down to my creation. :(
By double clicking the sims3pack I managed to install it without crash but then it didn't show up in my game.

I have absolutely no idea what to do.

Also, - I don't know if that has anything to do with my crash issue - but the preview pictures, or what they are called, of the Walls and Floors are not showing for me:

And the textures look very weird and somehow stretched - not as they are supposed to look, I guess, as in the tutorial that is not the case. Here is an example with the pool wall:
