Rhian Williams stood in front of his house. The builders had done exactly as he had told them to--they had built something truly out of the ordinary.

The house actually stood on stilts, except for the garage, which housed the stairway that led to the actuall house. The driveway was under the house itself.

His pool was a big, in-ground pool, and it would be great for times when his writing carreer wasn't doing well.

The rest of the homes on the street were nice, too.

And he had paid a worker to furnish his room, and it turned out very nice. This house would be a great place to write his next novel.

Everything seemed perfect. But something was holding Rhian's heart down, and he didn't understand. This was supposed to be a new start to him. So why did it feel like part of him was tethered down back in Kansas?
