Sim Painted pictures replaced with Question Mark?In one of my houses, I included some Sim-Painted paintings, and then someone who has downloaded it has come to me to say the paintings are appearing with question marks in them (see the attatchment). Does anyone know why this may be happening?

hi cazarupt, I've had exactly the same issue, if i place the lot and play it for a while the pics are fine, then if i go back to it a couple of days later its done exactly that, changed them to those rubbishy question marks..i can't think of a plausible reason to do so unless its because its no longer 'linked' to the sim who has made them!! Otherwise, i have had no other ideas...at the moment in one particular lot i can't even delete them, i've had to move them to the inventory and leave them there..most annoying..(this is a lot i have uploaded myself, so theoretically(pants, i think that's spelt wrong, but who cares)it should work in my own game!!)

Wow Cazarupt.. nice house!!
OK on topic again... I have never seen that in paintings, however, sometimes when I paint/texture my walls, I get lots of walls with that question mark and the solution for me was to repaint them something else and then try to repaint/retexture to what I wanted all over again. Now if I move houses and I take my sims paintings - the ones that they painted - I will get what the icon shows for small/medium/large paintings but no question marks. In other words, the original painting is now gone. This doesn't happen to paintings I buy from the catalogue, just sim created paintings.

I think there may be an issue that the game does not allow them on except the original lots in some cases. I wanted to set up a museum in town with my Sim family paintings and had my Sim take about 20 over there and place them. Fine.
Then I went back into the game and they were all gone! I nearly had a fit! The game put them back in my Sim's inventory, thank goodness, and I put them back on the walls at home and have never tried it again. I was told that the game resets the lots and the paintings done by Sims would delete each time the lot was closed. Now that may be the case as it was a community lot and they do reset, but it sounds like your having similar issues.Sim paintings do not act the same as the others sadly. A fun idea, that was shot to pieces.
