Does anyone know a cheat code that I can use that is Cool?

Without cheats I would become very very very very very frustrated! The game would be just too hard. The thing I have most trouble with is keeping my friends, thank God for the friendship painting the magic mirror and the super computer Seeing as there isnt an actual cheat for friends.

Apart from move_objects and prepare_lot I dont want any other codes... oh and before hot date water_tool

I have seen alot of cheat codes here and there, but most dont work. The only ones that have worked for me are teh move objects on, rosebud, and interests. I cant get ones like grow grass, or set hour to work, although my friend says she can use the grow grass fine. hmmm...

I find it difficult to apply the word "hard" to a game where you simply can't loose.

Didn't The Rooke's Nest have all the cheat code up at one time? Is that site still around?

Ikaris, I do find that the more I play the game the more I get bored with that constant routine of sleep/shower/eat/gotowork/drink lotsa coffee/use loo/ bathe/ eat/ study/ havesomefun/ sleep etc..... I'm thinking of cheating more often

Yupz, I gets really booring and addictive once you learn and know the cheats. It took me 1 years to stop the addiction to cheat!

its the only cheat i use....and its usually at the starting when the family is moving in.. and i want to get them nice furniture n stuff....

The way I found to avoid getting bored is to make each house unique and unlike all the others.

I can't get the autonomy cheat to work. It's supposed to turn on/off the sims free will. I guess I'm just too controling, I like to control what the sims do. So I want to turn off their free will. Unfortuntely, it won't work. Oh well.

are you typing in a number after autonomy in the cheat box?

the default is 50 any less and you can control them more any more and they start to do their own thing.

That said have you gone into game options and turned the autonomy off.. that should do the trick... then they only do something when you order them

Cheats can be good, depending on how & what they're used for. I use the move objects on cheat almost constantly...because I like to remove that nasty raccoon & other pests when they come onto my lot.

If you want to get rid of the racoon, just send a sim to make it go away. It's not worth to loose your pride for that.

Jasime - I did type in 0, since I am evil and don't want the sims to have any free will. It didn't work though. Hmmm. Does the cheat still work with SS? And what do you mean by game options. Where is that located? Is it somewhere in the Sims folder? Or in the game itself, with the control, shift, c? Is this too many questions? Are you confused yet?

Ikaris - How does deleting a racoon get rid of your pride? You have to have your sims wake up, which takes a good half hour if they are in a double bed and by then the racoon usually has already woken everyone else up. Do you just mean get rid of your pride by using a cheat? . . . hmmm . . . *thinks about it* . . . I gues that makes sense.

game options is in the ... menu I think its the cogs (circley spikey things.. oh how eloquent of me!!) you know the page where you get the choice to turn HTML exporty things off?

well there you should find an option autonomy uncheck the box and you should have lobotomised slave sims!!

By the way did you put the <> in when you put the number in? ie <0> thats supposed to make it work I think

Well, I have played too many games apart from The Sims, and in most of them there is a difference: there are victory and defeat involved. I have learned there that victory can only be enjoyed if you earn it, and so I reject the "cheats" completely... and that rejection had perdured into this game.

Yeah, i use that one most too. I use it to get rid of those STUPID roaches. And a bonus to using the move objects on cheat for roaches is that sometimes you get money, cause the game thinks they are the virtual reality thing. I dunno why it does , but i'm not complaining
