I tried a search for this but only get kitchen recolors or CC objects. Or I get neighborhood "islands" etc.

Has anyone made a center island (may be called something else in different countries?) Or has anyone found this type item somewhere?

not sure what excatly you are looking for as Maxis already has island counters in the game.

Alex - not the "lunch counter" but a Center Island. Right now there is no way to put cabinets together to form a 2 or 4 square USUABLE island. I tried to "moveObjects" and "SnapToGrid" cheats and you can do it but the Sims have a Fit LOL because they can't use one of the cabinets.

When searching I was wondering if other countries call this something else? Here in the US we use "islands" with stove tops, sinks or just countertops as a Stand-Alone middle of the kitchen cabinet.

I was wondering if the Sims Standard Cabinets could be made withOUT the back border (that raised Edge part)? This would allow you to connect two cabinets and have a Smooth Top? I would love to be able to put them Back-to-Back.

Hmm, I have some in my game, I seem to remember lots of pretty moving pictures in the upload thread so it was probably Numenor or some such awesome person I'll have a looksi see if I can find the creator's name for you.

Helix Kitchen Set by MizzesSimmer and New Idea Kitchen _ Garden Arch by ead425 are kitchen sets at modthesims which include islands. Multi Junction Kitchen Counters by Marylou and Numenor at modthesims is a godsend and might just fix all your kitcheny troubles
