EA Download Manager (not connecting)Can anyone help me? Or advise?
I can't play my games today. I've tried over and over (I played last night before bed without problem or incident). The EA Download Manager says "you appear to be off-line" but it's not me. I've tried going to the actual EA site and can't access it. Used a 'connection check' recommended by EA and tried pinging ea.com and it says the attempt timed out. I've pinged other random sites and they are fine. I had no problem accessing this site obviously. Anyone else having a problem? What to do? This is frustrating! Small Town Sim

I've tried repeatedly to un-install the Store Edition (which I got at the main site without realizing it would install an actual program).
Every time I un-install it... whether from the Programs/EA Games/Store Ed/ un-install (etc..) or from my Programs on my computer... it says un-installed, but as soon as I start-up the Download Manager it requests to install that Store Edition again. I contacted EA Support- they were no help. They said that should handle it; but it doesn't. It's still there. ![]() Small Town Sim

Okay. It's been about 4 hours. EA is still not connecting (DL Manager or site [properly]).
No one else has responded to this post. I'm just not sure if it's because I am the only one having problems with the Download Manager or if those having problems just haven't thought to look on the TSR forums for help/information. I use the EA Download Manager to access/play my Sims 2 game and also Spore. I installed them all from digital download from EA. What the heck can I do?

okay- okay... I'm sorry I posted (twice LOL) but I checked EVERYTHING and since I still had an Internet connection and other websites connected fine (this one for example) I never considered my routers.
BUT I read something that indicated that even though I have a connection that there could be an issue with a specific IP Address 'stuck' on my router(s) that needed cleared by restarting it. So what the heck- and once I restarted my routers- yahoo! My EA Download Manager worked. I don't count this a total loss- I have learned something... to restart the routers in the event this EVER happens again (LOL) AND if it will help someone else save time if this happens to them, they'll know that just because you still have an Internet connection doesn't mean you shouldn't check that as well. Ciao!
